A Senior Lecturer and Seasoned Academic at the University of Calabar, Monsignor. Dr Christopher Naseri NASERI is set to be officially consecrated to the office of the Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Calabar.

 

 

The Episcopal  Consecration of the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies Lecturer is slated to hold on July 22, 2023, and is coming on the heels of his appointment as Auxiliary Bishop-Elect announced by the Pope on May 1, 2023.

 

In a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Florence Obi, Monsignor. Dr Christopher Naseri described his elevation as an “ undeserved call to service by God”.

Dr Naseri in appreciation to God for the call and desire to share the blessings of the new office with his institution has accordingly invited the Vice Chancellor and the entire University of Calabar Community to join the Catholic Bishops in prayers at his consecration and also attend the event.
