The Centre for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE)  has obtained approval from the Management of the University of Calabar to organise a 2-day workshop on capacity building for selected Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff  of the institution.

 

A release signed by the Director of CTLE, Prof Usang Bassey indicate that the University Wide Training will run from Thursday, June 15 to Friday, June 16, 2023.

 

 

According to the release, a total of 6 distinct groups will be involved in the 2-day capacity building workshop which will be officially declared open by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Florence Obi on Tuesday, June 15, 2023 at 9am prompt.

 

The Director in the release called on all nominees for the workshop to be seated by 8.45am and requested those for ICT training to come with their lap-tops.

 

The workshop is billed to address issues revolving round Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Administrative Competence, Effective Security Management, Management of the Laboratories and Effective lessons delivery.

 

 Speakers at the workshop include the Director of ICT, Dr Edmund Essien, Director of Equipment Maintenance, Prof Joseph Ebigwai, Director of Council Affairs, Mrs Uduak Akang, Head of Department of Arts Education, Dr Alexander Timothy, Deputy Bursar,( Revenue), Mrs Utibe Bassey, Director (Main Account), Mr Clement Otogo and Dr Juliet Ekpang of the Department of English and Literary Studies.
