About Dr. Uduak Imo Ekpoh

Dr. Uduak Imo Ekpoh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Planning, University of Calabar, Calabar. She started her teaching career in April 1986 with Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board, where she rose to the rank of Vice Principal. In August 2008, she transferred her services to the University of Calabar. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History (1984), Post Graduate Diploma in Education (1990), Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Planning (2004) and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Administration and Planning (2007), all from the University of Calabar. She has published over 50 articles in reputable academic journals within and outside Nigeria. She has also contributed nine chapters to scholarly books. An accomplished university teacher, Dr. Ekpoh has taught many courses both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has successfully supervised thirteen M.Ed. theses and six Ph.D. dissertations. Also, she has been involved in the administration of graduate programmes in her Department and was a one-time Chairperson of the Departmental Graduate Committee. Dr. Ekpoh has attended and presented papers in many learned conferences within and outside Nigeria. She has received many academic honours including “Best Presenter Award” at the 2016 International Education Conference in Washington DC, USA. She is a member of the Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning, Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management, Higher Education Research and Policy Network, Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria and Educational Network for West and Central Africa.
