About Dr. Ubong Aniefiok Udoh

Dr. Ubong Udoh (MBBCh, FMCPath) is a lecturer with the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, College of Medical Sciences, University of Calabar. He possesses a degree in Medicine from the University of Calabar and a Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Pathology, sub-specializing in Clinical Microbiology. He is a co-winner of the 2015 Astra-Zeneca Research Grant Trust Award. He has made oral and poster presentations at both local and international conferences and is a reviewer for the Journal of Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Control. He was also Deputy-Editor, Cross River Journal of Medicine. He currently trains and mentors postgraduate clinical students from different specialties including Laboratory Medicine. He is a member of the 2019 MDCAN AGM/Scientific Conference LOC. He has been a team member in several collaborations including multi-site and multi-centre research projects. He is a member of the Nigerian Medical Association among other professional groups and is actively involved in community service. He is married with children.
