About Dr. Ubong Aniefiok Udoh

Dr. Ubong Udoh (MBBCh, FMCPath) is a Clinical Lecturer with the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, College of Medical Sciences, University of Calabar from December 2014. He possesses a degree in Medicine from the University of Calabar and a Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Pathology, sub-specializing in Clinical Microbiology. His secondary and primary education was completed at Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene, and Charles Walker International Nursery/Primary School, Calabar respectively. He has won several awards including being a co-winner of the 2015 Astra-Zeneca Research Grant Trust Award. He currently teaches 4th-year Medical and Dental undergraduates at the University of Calabar. He has made oral and poster presentations at both local and international conferences and is a reviewer for the Journal of Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Control. He was also Deputy-Editor, Cross River Journal of Medicine. He currently trains and mentors postgraduate clinical students from different specialties including Laboratory Medicine. He has attended several conferences and is a member of the 2019 MDCAN AGM/Scientific Conference Local Organizing Committee. He has been a team member in several collaborations including multi-site and multi-centre research projects. He is a member of the Nigerian Medical Association, the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria amongst other professional associations. He runs an e-learning site called “MedStudyHall” and is actively involved in community service. He is married with children.
