About Dr. Sylvester Etenikang Abeshi

Born on the 3rd of September, 1968 into the family of late Mr John and Mrs Theresa Abeshi of Bayayam, Bisu in Obanliku LGA Cross River State. He has a first degree in Microbiology from the famous University of Ibadan in 1989. Followed by a degree in medicine and Surgery,fellowship from the West African College of Surgeons, fellow International College of Surgeons. Member Nigeria Medical Association NMA, Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU. A doctor with passion for his patients, an academia with an uncommon humility. A prolific writer with about 30 publications in reputable academic journals. He is married and blessed with children.He is also an eminent peace Ambassador of the International Association of World Peace Advocate, affiliated with the United Nations. Dr Abeshi is an active member of AFCMO, grand patron of AFCYON, patron of St Cecilia choir, of this parish. He is also involved in activities of the society of Obstetricians and gynaecologists of Nigeria (SOGON) carrying out activities aimed at reducing maternal mortality and morbidity in Nigeria. He belongs to several community development organizations and participates actively welfare programs in the society catering for the motherless children and aged.
