About Dr. Sunday David Edinyang

Dr Sunday David Edinyang is a Nigerian academic, an Associate Professor of Social Studies Education in the University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor‘s degree in Special Education/Political Science as well as a Master’s degree in Education/Social Studies. He also holds the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Education/social Studies. Dr Edinyang is a teacher educator, and a social studies curriculum developer, who joined the University of Calabar on 16th August 2006 as Lecturer II in the then Department of Curriculum and Teaching . He has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and has successfully supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate projects. Dr. Edinyang has also served as an External Examiner in some Nigerian universities. He has published widely in reputable journals both locally and internationally. He has published 25 articles in foreign journals and 47 articles in local journals. He has presented in many international and local conferences. In addition, Dr.Edinyang has authored many books and book chapters. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Contemporary Social Science Education (IJCSSE), a double-blind peer-reviewed journal of the Department of Social Science Education, University of Calabar. He is the current Ag. Head of Department of Social Science Education. Dr Edinyang has served in many committees within and outside the university. He is a member of several professional and sociocultural associations. He is a Christian who believes strongly in the principle of “Do unto others what you wish them do to you.” He is married with children.
