About Dr. Simon Idoko Okweche

Dr Simon Idoko OKWECHE is an Entomologist with the University of Calabar, Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Wildlife Resources Management, University of Calabar. He obtained his Master’s degree (Entomology) in 2006 from the University of Agriculture Makurdi and PhD (Entomology) in 2012 from University of Calabar, Nigeria. His research areas are Insect Pest Identification and Management, Insect ecology and Entomophagy (Edible insects). He has held many active positions in the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Resources Management, since joining the staff team. He has attended both local and international conferences and workshops and has published papers in reputable journals.
