About Dr. Samuel Orim Orim

Dr Samuel Orim attended Palacky University Olomouc Czech Republic (2015-2018), University of Jos, Nigeria (2006 -2008) and University of Calabar, Nigeria (1997-1999) where he obtained his PhD, M.Ed. and B.Ed degrees in Special Education respectively. He also holds a National Certificate in Education obtained from the Cross River State College of Education, Akamkpa in 1995. He joined the services of the University of Calabar, Calabar in 2013 as Assistant Lecturer. He gradually progressed to the rank of Lecturer II in 2016. Prior to his employment in the University of Calabar, he has also served as Lecturer II in the Department of Psychology, School of Education Cross River State College of Education, Akamkpa (2011-2013) and Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Kwara State (2000-2001). Since joining the Department, Dr Orim has been teaching and contributing to the graduation of students in the epartment. He has served a pioneer Departmental Project Coordinator and Time Table Officer (2015-2017). He has published more than twenty five research articles in reputable learned local and international peer review journals. In addition, he has also contributed six Book Chapters. Dr Orim is a regular participant in both local and international conferences where he has been making presentations. He is a member of many professional associations including National Association of Exception of Children and National Association of Special Education of Teachers. Dr Orim is married with children.
