Engr. Remigus Asochukwu Umunnah was staffed in University of Calabar on the 23rd day of July 2016, as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Physics. He was later transferred to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering, a Post Graduate Diploma, Master’s and a Ph.D. Degree in Engineering Physics. Engr. Remigus is a Registered Member of the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), a Corporate Member the Nigerian Society of Engineers, a Cooperate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE) and a Graduate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), (Chartered). He has attended many Seminars, Workshops and Conferences both within and outside the University. He has several published papers in International Journals to his credit. From the wealth of his experience, Engr. Remigus has mentored a good number of undergraduate students. He is currently a Lecturer II and is serving as the Faculty Timetable Officer in the Faculty of Engineering (from 2017/2018 session till date). His research areas are Mechanical Designs, Acoustics & Environmental Engineering, and Mechatronics.
