About Mr. Raymond Ekong Eworo

Mr Raymond Ekong Eworo was employed as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Medical laboratory Science, University of Calabar in June 2010. He holds a B. MLS and M.Sc. in Chemical Pathology degrees from the University of Calabar obtained in 2005 and 2015 respectively. He specializes in Chemical Pathology/Clinical Chemistry with interest in Endocrinology and Cancer Research. He has been teaching, mentoring, researching and contributing to the graduation of students in the university. He is presently working on how selective autophagy, and cellular stress response such as cellular senescence , glucose regulated protein, programmed cell death protein 1 influences the development of hepatocellular carcinoma in hepatitis B infected subjects. Mr Eworo is a beneficiary of the Federal Government of Nigeria Undergraduate Merit Scholarship (2002 and 2003) and the IFCC Scholarship to attend the 23rd International Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine in South Africa in 2017. He has also attended many other conferences where he equally made presentations. Mr Eworo has been serving many journals as Reviewer. He has successfully authored and co-authored over five articles in peer reviewed journals. He is a member of Nigerian Cancer Society, Association of Clinical Chemists of Nigeria, Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria and Associate Member, Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria. He is an advocate of open research, with a researcher ID ORCID: http://orcid.org/0000-0003-2139-665X
