Dr. Ogri James Ushie started his teaching career at University of Calabar from 2011 till date. He began his academic sojourn at the St. Gregory Primary School in Bekwarra Local Government Area where he obtained a First School Leaving Certificate in 1988. In 1989, he started his Junior Secondary Education at the Famous Bekwarra Secondary School, Abuachiche, in Bekwarra Local Local Government Area and continues his Senior Secondary Education at Federal Science College Ogoja and obtained Senior Secondary Certificate. His secondary school feat was followed by a: ND at Federal Polytechnics Nassarawa in current Nassarawa State with Distinction, 1996 and followed by a: B. Eng. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with Second Class Upper Division in 2002, Federal University of Technology, Yola, where he obtained M. Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2008, ATBU - Bauchi and Ph. D. (Electronics (Intelligence System)) in 2016, Brunel University London. Dr. won four different prizes as Best Graduating Studentin Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Engineering as a whole, FUT –Yola, 2002. Ogri has attended five different conferences both home and abroad his research interest are Circuit Optimization, Radio Wave Propagation and Renewable Energy. He has polished in both local and international journals over twenty publications.
