About Prof. Lucy Ambekeh Udida

Professor Lucy is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Administration & Planning, University of Calabar, Calabar Nigeria. She is a professor with a speciality in Administration of Higher Education. Professor Lucy has over 60 (Sixty) publications both in foreign and local credible journals. Lucy has attended and presented papers in both National and International Conferences, She is wildly travelled, She teaches both the undergraduate & Postgraduate students, & has supervised about 17 (seventeen) postgraduate & numerous undergraduate students She is an External Examiner to some Universities in Nigeria. Professor Lucy belongs to several Professional Associations such as Nigerian Association for Educational Administration & Planning (NAEAP), Member, Higher Education, Research and Policy Network (HERPNET), Member, Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM), Member, Education Management Association of South Africa (EMASA) & Member Educational Research Network for West and Central Africa (ERNWACA) & others. Professor Lucy is sociable, believes in term work & can withstand pressure in work, she is tolerable & has the ability to carry out research activities independently & successfully. She belongs to different social organizations, Presently she is the Vice President Igwo Daughters Development Association, Member Obudu Women Development Association, She has Served as President Obudu/Obanlikwu Women at Unical, Member, Cross River State Community, Unical, & has serve Northern Cross River State Women Association as Project Coordinator for several years. Professor Lucy has served the University of Calabar in different capacities; Chairman, Departmental Disciplinary Committee, Examination Officer, Acting Head of Department (HOD), Sandwich Coordinator, and Currently Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration). She is a recipient of several Awards: University of Calabar College of Medical Sciences; Call For Service Award, National Award of Excellence, Selfless Contribution and Support to Students by the Association of Sardauna Students, Award of Excellence/Recognition by the Nigerian Association for Education, Calabar; Award of Excellence by Igwo Daughters Development Association; Award by Obudu Women Development Association, & Award of Recognition & Excellence by the National Association of Bebuabe Bedgiading & Many others. Her hobbies include Research, Reading, Cooking, Gardening, & Carrying out philanthropic activities. She is happily married with Children.
