About Dr. Komomo Ibor Eyong

Dr. Eyong Komomo Ibor hails from Idomi in Yakurr local government of Cross River State Nigeria. He had Primary Education at Presbyterian Primary School Idomi (1975 – 1980) and completed with distinction. He proceeded to community Secondary School Idomi between 1980 –1985. He then gained admission into the then School of Art and Science at Uyo for his advance level study between 1986 and 1988. After a successful completion of the advance level, he gained admission into the University of Jos in Plateau State to study Medicine and Surgery between 1989 and 1995. He did his mandatory national youth service corps in Dikwa local government of Borno state in 1997. He enrolled for the Residency programme of the West African Post Graduate Medical College, Faculty of Paediatrics in 2001 and completed by 2007 where he obtained the fellowship of the West African college of physician (FWACP) in Paediatrics. He was appointed lecturer 1 in 2008 and promoted to senior lecturer in 2012 and associate professor in 2015. He was appointed acting head of department of paediatrics between 2017 and 2019. Currently, he is in paediatrics neurology subspecialty where he is rendering clinical services to children with neurology problems, teaching medical and dental students and resident doctors and conducting research. He has several scholarly articles and still counting in both international and local peer review journals. He is a member of many professional bodies in the field of medicine including; Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN), child neurologic society. Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Development Medicine (AACPDM).
