About Dr. Julius Agba Ada

Rev. Fr. Dr. Julius Agba Ada, a catholic Priest of Ogoja Diocese (1997) is a senior lecturer in the department of Business Management, University of Calabar. He has served as Director of UNICAL Water Services, Head of Department, Business Management, University of Calabar and the current Secretary, Cross River State Anti-Tax Agency. He holds a Bachelor of Philosophy (B.Phil. Urban University Rome) 1993, Bachelor of Sacred Theology (B.D. Urban University Rome) 1997, Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM, Unical) 2002, Masters in Business Administration (MBA, Unical) 2005, Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE, Unical) 2006, Masters of Science in Management (M.Sc, EBSU) 2012, Doctor of Philosophy in Business Management (PhD, EBSU) 2014, Fellow: Institute of Corporate Administration, Nigeria(ICA) 2015, Fellow: Institute of Policy Management and Development (IPMD) 2017, member, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) 2020 Beside Rev. Fr. Dr. Ada’s pastoral and Ecclesial services in Calabar and Ogoja Catholic Dioceses, he served as lecturer in Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) from 2007 to 2010, and was appointed as Lecturer II in University of Calabar in 2010 where he serves till date. He has held sveral positions, among which are; Coordinator of CES Program, Department of Business Management, 2012 – 2015; Ag. Head, Department of Business Management, 2015 – 2017; Member, CGSS Board, University of Calabar, 2015 – 2019; Member, Health Research Ethics Committee (HREC) University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), Calabar, 2012 –2018; Executive Director, UNICAL Water Services, 2017 till date. Dr. Ada has several awards including; Best Head of Department, 2017 presented by Faculty of Management Sciences (FAMSSA); Award of Distinguished Selfless Service… Officer Order of Malabor (OOM) 2019 presented by Student Union Government, University of Calabar; Award of Recognition for Effectiveness & Efficiency of Service, Nov 2017 presented by DBA 2017 class, University of Calabar; Award of Service, 2014 from NFCS, University of Calabar; Award of Best Pastor CYON Mater Redemtoris Parish, Sankwala, 2007; Award of Excellence from Catholic Corpers, 2000.
