About Dr. Juliet Oluwatominiyi Oni

Dr. J. O. Oni is an Applied Mycologist and a Phytopathologist currently involved in molecular characterization of mushrooms with special interest in fruitbody initiation genes. She is a member of many learned academics societies which include: Biotechnological Society of Nigeria (BSN), Nigerian Society for Plant Protection (NSPP), Mycological Society of Nigeria (MYCOSON), Biopesticides Society of Nigeria (BpSN). Dr. J. O. Oni has over thirteen scientific papers in reputable journal within and outside the country. She has attended many seminars, conferences and workshops where she made presentations. Dr. J. O. Oni has many years experience of teaching, research and conducting practical. She has supervised many undergraduate research projects. Dr. J. O. Oni served as Examination officer (2013-2021) in the Department of Botany (now Plant and Ecological studies), was a member Departmental Quality Assurance Committee (2018-2021), Treasurer in the Local Organizing committee of the 1st Annual Conference of Biopesticide Society of Nigeria (2014) among others. Dr. J. O. Oni was awarded Best Academic Student (2006/2007 session) session and Best Graduating Student (2007/2008 session) in the Department of Botany, University of Calabar, Calabar. Dr. J. O. Oni is capable of independent and team research work, she is also ready for collaboration in research work within her area of specialization.
