About Dr. Julie Comfort Ogbulezie

Julie grew up in Kaduna State, Nigeria where she did her primary school education. She attended Federal Government Girls’ College Bakori, Katsina State for her secondary education. She obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering in 1991, from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State Nigeria where she was the best graduating student in her course. Julie also obtained M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering Physics from the University of Calabar in 2007 and 2012 respectively. Julie is the first female graduate of Electrical Engineering from Federal University of Technology, Minna. In 2017, she obtained M.Eng.Degree in Electronic Communication from Cross River University of Technology, Calabar. She started her lecturing career in the University of Calabar as a Lecturer II in 2012 and rose to the rank of a Senior Lecturer in 2016. She is a member of many professional bodies including the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) and the Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP). She is also registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) Julie’s research interests include radio wave propagation, solar radiation estimations and renewable energy amongst others. She is currently the Department of Physics Graduate School Chairman and also the Departmental Welfare Committee Chairman, She has also served in other capacities in the Department some of which include Examination officer and Chairman Departmental Sanitation Committee. She has supervised numerous students at both under graduate and Post Graduate levels. She has more than 30 publications in reputable peer review journals. She is married and blessed with children.
