About Mr. Joseph Enyam Nkiri

Joseph Nkiri is a Nigerian-born teacher, finance expert and life coach. He is a seasoned and erudite scholar, an astute consultant and a professional accountant. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Calabar, a Master’s degree (with distinction) in Finance from Durham University, UK, and currently a Doctoral scholar at the famous University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). He is a member of several professional bodies including, Association of Accounting Technicians West Africa (AATWA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), and currently a student member, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Joseph is a young man with impeccable character, a committed lecturer, researcher and mentor. He acquired his great teaching and leadership skills through trainings and experiences from positions he has occupied in the past. He has gained practical experiences from both the private and public sector including Zenith bank plc, cross river state government amongst others. Joseph joined the University of Calabar as an assistant lecturer in accounting department in February 2014. Since joining the University he has been teaching, mentoring and contributing to the graduation of undergraduate students. He has served as an examination officer for accounting department during the 2016/2017 academic session and has also served in various committees at the departmental level. He is a recipient of several awards including the pro-chancellors award for the best behaved student of the 2007/2008 Graduating class, University of Calabar; ICAN Prize winner at the May 2009 examinations; Overall best student (1st position) – Zenith Bank training school, 2011 and the Barack Obama award – Geneva study tour, 2013. Joseph is a part time financial consultant with Wellspring professional solutions. Joseph is happily married with two kids.
