About Dr. Genevieve Ngozi Aglazor

Genevieve Aglazor Ph.D. holds a Doctoral Degree in Global/Multicultural Education from Purdue University, USA, two masters degrees: one in Elementary/Special Education and the second in Education Administration both in the U S, and a Bachelors Degree in English and Literary Studies. Genevieve was an Assistant Professor at Tarleton State University before returning to Nigeria as a visiting Assistant Professor assigned to the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at University of Calabar in 2013. Having spent the last 25 years in America’s Educational system, she has an extensive background in teacher education, qualitative research, global and multicultural education. In addition to teaching elementary and secondary levels for 18 years, Genevieve has a strong background in research as well. She has authored multiple articles in acclaimed Journals and Book Chapters. She has also presented papers in many local and foreign conferences. Genevieve Aglazor, Ph.D. is Rhode Island certified elementary, secondary English, special education (Mild/Moderate disability) and school administrator, and endorsed in English as a Second Language. She taught Language Arts, Reading, Creative Writing, Special Education to Elementary through High School students. As a Lead Team member, she has organized and facilitated on-site professional development workshops for fellow district teachers. Genevieve is a beneficiary of the 2016 University of Calabar based TETFUND institutional research grant. She has successfully supervised two PhD students and other post graduate students. She is a book reviewer. Dr Genevieve was a reviewer for the American Educational Research Association (AERA).  In addition to revising and modifying school-wide Providence One Plan for the new school year, she is experienced in teaching technology-based reading programs like “Read 180” by Scholastic. Also, she jointly inaugurated the first Junior National Honors Society at N. Greene. She is the founder of Paradigms Educational Services that has distributed school materials to several rural schools in Cross River State. Paradigms is also involved in philanthropic activities. Dr Genevieve Aglazor is a member of the American Educational Research Association, Curriculum Organisation of Nigeria and World Council of Curriculum and Instruction. She is currently supervising three PhD students and many other graduate and undergraduate students.
