About Dr. Francis Felix Edet

Dr. Francis Felix Edet joined the services of University of Calabar as an Assistant Lecturer in 2008. He was posted to the Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy as it then was. He worked so hard and earned his promotions up to the rank of Senior Lecturer in the same Department. He holds Bachelor of Arts degree, Master of Arts, and Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology of Religion. He holds also a Bachelor of Law degree. His key performance index (KPI) are the pass-fail ratio of his students which is at 9:1 amongst others. In fact, his students describe him as the most friendly lecturer and prolific writer of his department. And in recognition of his contributions, he was nominated and awarded the certificate of excellent service by the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies, University of Calabar, in 2015. His passion driven spirit has resulted in him being appointed as member of various committees both at Departmental and Faculty level. He served as the Faculty of Arts Representative to department of Dentistry from September 20th 2018 to September 20th 2020. He has also served as a member of several committees in the university. He is a member of the Faculty Quality Assurance Committee and a member of Examinations Malpractice Disciplinary committee. He has published over thirty scholarly researched articles and still counting in peer-review journals, both locally and internationally. He has published two reputable books and ten book chapters. He has attended and presented papers at both local and International conferences. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Policy Management Development (FlPMD). He has a cordial working relationship with his colleagues and students. He is father and counsellor with burning passion and diligence for service to the University of Calabar. He is also a member of National Association for0 the Study of Religion (NASR)
