About Dr. Eyam Sunday Eyam

Dr. Sunday Eyam is a Physician, Chemical Pathologist, Lecturer and Researcher serving with the Department of Chemical Pathology, University of Calabar in Nigeria. He joined the services of the University as a Clinical Lecturer on March 30, 2017, after his success at the fellowships' programme and subsequent, qualification as a Specialist Clinician. He holds an MBBCh degree awarded by the University of Calabar in 2006. He was with the National Postgraduate Medical College at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Lagos Nigeria, where he specialises in Laboratory Medicine with a sub-specialty in Chemical Pathology in 2016. In 2018, he was appointed as the Department’s Research Coordinator and later, Examinations Officer in 2020. Since joining the University, he has been teaching, researching and mentoring students at all levels, Dr. Eyam has a research interest in biochemical oncology (Tumour markers, Hepatology) and Clinical chemistry in extreme of ages (Paediatrics and Geriatrics). Dr Eyam has been attending conferences, workshops, seminars and other update courses where he made useful presentations and other useful contributions. He is a member of many professional bodies including the Nigerian Medical Association and Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria.
