About Dr. Esther Aja Edu

Personal ProfileEdu, Esther Aja Bassey is Associate Professor of Ecology. She did her undergraduate degree at the University of Calabar, Nigeria and worked towards her PhD on Litter dynamics (Production, composition and decomposition) of mangroves in a mixed riverine mangrove forest of the Cross River estuary. Nigeria at the same institution. She has served in various committees including Departmental Appraisal and Promotion Committee, Departmental Graduate School Committee Board, Coordinator, remedial Biology and Coordinator, Post Graduate Programme, from 2011 – 2016. She is currently Head, Department of Plant and Ecological Studies, University of Calabar, Nigeria.
