About Mr. Emmanuel Michael Ekpenyong

Mr. Emmanuel Michael Ekpenyong is a Lecturer in the Department of Plant and Ecological Studies, Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Calabar, Calabar. He attended Hope Waddell Training Institution, Calabar and obtained the West African School Certificate in 2000. He later graduated with B.Sc degree in Botany and M.Sc degree in Plant Pathology from the University of Calabar in 2006 and 2014 respectively. He is currently studying for a Ph. D in Plant Pathology from the same institution. Having joined the school as a Graduate Assistant in 2013, he rose to the rank of Lecturer II in 2018. Since joining the University, he has been involved in teaching and carrying out research in the field of Botany and Plant pathology, specializing in Plant Mycology. He is a member of the Biopesticides Society of Nigeria, American Society of Plant Pathology and Mycological Society of Nigeria.
