About Dr. Emeka Josephat Owan

Dr. Emeka Josephat Owan is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Sociology, University of Calabar. He received/bagged his B.Sc. in Sociology MSc and Ph.D in criminology, all from the University of Calabar. He also received a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from National Teachers Institute. Kaduna. Dr. Emeka was a one-time Lecturer at Federal College of Education Obudu, Cross River State, Nigeria, 2006-2010. He has published many Articles in highly rated books and journals, basically in the field of sociology/criminology, contributed in books’ chapters and currently undergoing some researches in the areas of penology and victimology. Dr. Emeka is happily married and blessed with children. He is desirous of contributing to the simplification of knowledge acquisition in our developing country Nigeria. He has been a two-time regular coordinator of Anti-corruption studies and two-time coordinator of Sandwich General Studies, all domiciled in the Centre for General Studies (CGS), University of Calabar, Calabar.
