Dr. Ekpenyong Ekpenyong Nsa is a lecturer in the Department of Estate Management and Valuation, University of Calabar, Nigeria. A widely travelled scholar with publications in Local and International learned Journals. A one-time Federal Commissioner with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Climatology from the University of Calabar, Calabar, where his research was on the impact of climate change on the Sahel ecosystem (Sokoto State). He holds an M.Sc. degree in Environmental Resources Management from the University of Calabar and a B.Sc. Degree in Estate Management from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; detailed certificate in Economics and Governance of climate change from London School of Economics and Political Science. He studied History and Politics of British people at the EXETER College, Oxford University England, 2005. He is a recipient of the Cross River Millennium Award, 2000 and Peace Ambassador Award, 2005. His academic career involves research across a number of areas namely: extreme climate variability in North Western Nigeria: An Analysis of rainfall trends and patterns, the effects of recent climatic variations on water yield in the Sokoto Region of Northern Nigeria; Recent severe flooding in Calabar, Nigeria: Causes, Consequences and Possible Remedies among others. He is a member of the following professional bodies: Corporate Member of Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society London, UK. He happily married with four lovely children.
