About Mr. Effiom Effanga Henshaw

Effiom Effanga Henshaw studied for his B.Sc in the Dept. of Microbiology, University of Calabar with a research on the Microbial deodorization of fermented cassava for foofoo production. I then worked on the mutation of green protein (GFP to produce cyan fluorescent protein (CFP)) for my Masters Degree at the Astbury center for structural molecular biology, University of Leeds. His main field of research include Understanding the mechanism of recalcitrant compounds biodegradation in soils, metabolic profile and community structure/dynamics of hydrocarbon utilizing bacteria, risk assessment and bioremediation of contaminated Land. His particular area of interest lies in recalcitrant compounds bio-availability in soil and the mechanism of biocorrosion in oil and gas field environment.
