About Dr. German-James Effa Anagbogu

Dr. ANAGBOGU GERMAN-JAMES EFFA is a seasoned and erudite scholar, innovative consultant and astute data analyst, who is well-grounded in both theory and application of statistical soft wears. He has, over the years, acquired unique skills and capabilities in, data acquisition, data analysis and interpretation. Dr. ANAGBOGU is endowed with rare entrepreneurial spirit that enables him to identify opportunities and consequently, creates great economic benefits from them. Dr. ANAGBOGU was awarded a B.Sc. (Ed)(Hons) degree in Business Education Accounting option in 2001, M.Ed. and Ph.D degree in Educational Measurement and evaluation in 2006 and 2010, all from the prestigious University of Calabar. He joined the services of University of Calabar in 2008 as Assistant Lecturer. He rose through the ranks and was promoted to the rank of Senior lecturer, 2016. Since joining the University, he has been teaching, mentoring and contributing to the graduation of students in the University at all levels. He has successfully supervised and co-supervised over 15 graduate students comprising eight Post Graduate Diplomas, seven M.Ed and one Ph.D students. His major research areas include analysis of psychometric properties of test instrument, Educational Measurement and Evaluation. Others include analysis of students academic performance as it relates to the environment. Dr. ANAGBOGU, has served as secretary to many committees; Teachers Registration Council, internal accreditation team, Unit coodinator and is presently serving the University as Chairman Faculty of Education Graduate Committee. He has also served the University in many Committees, member Departmental Vetting Committee, Chairman Departmental Committee on visibility, amongst others. He has authored/coauthored over thirty peer reviewed journal articles spread across both local and international peer reviewed journals. Dr. ANAGBOGU has been serving many local and international peer reviewed journals as reviewer. Dr. German, as he is fondly called by his peers, has participated in many local and international conferences where he made presentations. Dr. Anagbogu’s achievements cut across several fields including Academics, Consultancy and Public Service. He is a member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria and many others, he is happily married with four children.
