About Prof. Clement Ibi Mboto

Prof. Clement Ibi Mboto is a London trained Virologist and Epidemiologist with over twenty years of University teaching and research experience. His research interest is in viral Hepatology and the medical applications of African herbs. He has worked in various parts of the world, including the United Kingdom, the Gambia and Nigeria. In addition, he was the pioneer HOD of the Department of Microbiology, Federal University Lafia, visiting scholar in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, College of Health Sciences, University of Uyo, Uyo-Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria (July 2015-. March, 2017), visiting scholar to Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, University of Uyo, Uyo-Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria (July, 2008 to June 2015) and visiting scholar to Department of Biological Sciences, Cross River University of Technology, Calabar-Cross River State, Nigeria (October 2009 to December, 2013). He has authored over seventy scientific publications in peer review journals and twenty two scientific papers presented at international conferences in various parts of the world including UK, France, USA, Japan, South Africa and Nigeria. Prof. Mboto has supervised three doctoral theses and Sixteen Master’s degree dissertations at the University of Uyo and University of Calabar and was listed as one of the top 500 Nigerian Scientists in Nigerian Institutions in 2015 and 2016.
