About Prof. Charles Patrick Akpan

Prof. Charles P. Akpan joined the services of University of Calabar in June, 1994 as Graduate Assistant. He rose through the ranks and was promoted Professor in 2016. He holds a B.Sc (Hons) Ed. (Chemistry), M.Ed and Ph.D in Educational Administration and Planning, all from the University of Calabar, Calabar. He has served in various capacities in the University, including Acting Head of Department of Educational Administration and Planning and Sub-Dean, Faculty of Education. He is a Fellow of the Association of Public Policy Administrators of Nigeria (FAPPAN), Fellow of Institute of Peace and Conflict Management (FIPCM), Ghana, member of Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP) and Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM). He has attended several local and international conferences and presented academic papers. He has also published many scholarly articles on Educational Administration and Planning in reputable academic journals within and outside Nigeria. He is an accomplished university teacher.
