About Dr. Caroline Linus Aboh

Dr (Mrs) Caroline Linus Aboh is an astute administrator, teacher and mentor. She joined the services of University of Calabar in the year 2000 as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension. She was promoted to the rank of Associated Professor of Agric Extension and Community Development in 2016. Dr Aboh holds a Ph. D degree in Community Development obtained from the University of Calabar in 2010, M.Sc. in Agric Extension and Rural Development from the University of Ibadan (1998), B.Sc. degree in Agric Education obtained from the University of Calabar (1991) and a National Certificate in Education from Federal College of Education, Obudu, Cross River State, Nigeria. Since joining the University, she has been actively in teaching, mentoring and research activities at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, within and outside University of Calabar. She has initiated and successfully supervised over ten graduate students and a host of undergraduate students. Dr Caroline Aboh is a regular participant in many local and international conferences where she made presentations in some. Dr Aboh has published over fifty articles in many local and international peer reviewed learned journals. Dr Aboh has contributed to the publication of several chapters in books. Finally, she has also produced some monographs to aid in the teaching and learning processes in her area of specialization, amongst which include Introduction to Agricultural Communication and Journalism, and Agricultural Extension Education. She is the current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development Issues and a Consulting Editor to the Faculty of Agriculture Journal of the Akwa Ibom State University. Dr Caroline Aboh is a member of many professional associations amongst which include Rural Sociology Society of Nigeria, Farm Management Association of Nigeria, Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria, Center for Economic Development and Population Activities and Agricultural Society of Nigeria. She is married with children.
