About Dr. Bassey Etta Agbo

Dr. Bassey Etta Agbo is currently a lecturer II in Microbiology Department, Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria. His Masters of Science (M. Sc.) specialty is Environmental and Public Health Microbiology while his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) specialty is Environmental Microbiology. He has published high quality journals locally and internationally. He has attended a lot of academic conferences and seminars, some of which he had presented academic papers. Dr. Agbo is the Pioneer elected president of El-Sam Foundation International, Uyo, Nigeria/ New York, USA. He is an Editorial board member of reputable journals some of which are Trends in Clinical Microbiology Journal, USA and others. He is a reviewer to many international journals. He is equally a member in some reputable academic societies, some of which are: Member American Society for Microbiology, Member Bio-pesticide Society of Nigeria, Member Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology, Member Nigerian Society for Microbiology and Member Virology Society of Nigeria. He is currently working on Rhizosphere and Rhizoplane flora of Calopogonium mucunoides from University of Calabar Botanical Garden; Detection of multi-drug resistant bacteria from Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) polluted soil; Phytoremediation of Effluent Polluted Soil using Calopogonium mucunoides and Centrosema pubescence and Microbial Profile of some Seafood sold in Calabar Metropolis, Nigeria.
