About Dr. Archibong Nsa Archibong

Dr. Archibong started his career with the University of Calabar as a research assistance in Jan, 27th 2014 and was promoted to the position of Lecturer after His PhD in Jan, 2017. He had his primary school education at Henshaw Town Primary School, Calabar, Cross River State, between 1987 and 1992. He thereafter proceeded to Hope Waddell Training Institution Calabar where he obtained his Senior School Certificate in 1998. In 1999, he was admitted to study Human Physiology at the University of Calabar. He graduated with a second class degree in 2004. After his one year compulsory National service, he enrolled and bagged a master’s degree in Physiology in 2012. In 2017, he was awarded a Ph.D in Physiology, all by the University of Calabar, Cross River State Dr Archibong has been involved in various researches and has applied for several grants. In 2020 he was awarded a Tetfund Grant alongside his fellow researchers to investigate cadmium chloride exposure and pulmonary response in asthmatic model rats administered with cyperus esculentus (tiger nut). Dr. Archibong is a lecturer II in the department of physiology, where he is also a time table officer and has also served as a member of the Departmental Welfare Committee and College Sanitation committee. He teaches Physiology to B.Sc and Medical undergraduate students. His research areas include Blood physiology, where he has supervised over 15 undergraduate research projects. He has attended a whole lots of conferences which include the 32nd Annual National Scientific Conference of Physiological Society of Nigeria (PSN). Calabar, August, 2012 and the 35th Annual National Scientific Conference of Physiological Society of Nigeria (PSN). Enugu, September 2015.He was a member of the conference organizing committee during the Physiological Society of Nigeria (PSN) conference at University of Calabar, Sept. 2012.He has been involved in many research project since after graduation and many more researches are upcoming. He has published articles in reputable journals.
