About Mr. Friday Ikechukwu Agu

Mr. Friday Ikechukwu Agu is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Statistics, University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria. Mr. Agu hails from Achuora, Uchu Community, Yache in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State. Mr. Agu began his educational career in Uchu Community Primary School, Achuora, Yache in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State where he obtained First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) in 2000. Mr. Agu proceeded to Uchu Community Secondary School (AKA, Otabe) and later left to Akure, Ondo State where he attended Prospect High School, Oke-Aro, Akure, Truth Comprehensive College, Benin City where he obtained West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE) in 2008. Thereafter, he proceeded to Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki where he bagged a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Mathematics and Statistics in 2014. He did his compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2015 at Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo. He also did a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) with National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna, Ebonyi State University study centre, Abakaliki in 2015. He obtained an M.Sc Degree in Statistics from the prestigious University of Calabar, Calabar in 2018. Mr. Agu’s working experience began as a Youth Service Corps member with Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo in 2015. He was employed as a Graduate Assistant in University of Calabar, he is now an Assistant Lecturer. Mr. Agu has attended Nigerian Statistical Society (NSS) conference now Professional Statistician Society of Nigeria (PSSN) in UNICAL, 2018 where he presented a paper. He is a registered member of Professional Statistician Society of Nigeria (PSSN) and with many publications credit to him. He is also a reviewer to two Journals at the moment. Currently, Mr. Agu has been awarded a Ph.D Scholarship by the Turkish Government in Statistics. Mr. Agu is a Christian and he is single at the moment.
