About Dr. Abua Moses Adah

Dr. Moses Adah Abua is a lecturer in the Department of Geography and Environmental Science, University of Calabar, Calabar – Nigeria. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) Geography from the University of Port Harcourt, Master of Science (M.Sc) Geography (Hydrology and Water Resources) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Biogeography and Soils both from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. He is the former Departmental fieldwork studies Coordinator, former Departmental Examination Officer, former Departmental Undergraduate project Coordinator, erstwhile Head of Department of Geography and Environmental Science, Field Coordinator for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Human Development Index, Cross River State (UNDP sponsored; 2005) and presently the External Assessor for the Department of Geography, Federal College of Education, Obudu, Cross River State, Nigeria. He is a member of several professional associations including Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG), Association of American Geographers (AAG), Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) and Nigeria Association of Hydrological Sciences (NAHS). His research interest is in Hydrology and Water Resources, Biogeography and Soils, Land Resource evaluation and Environmental Issues. Dr. Abua has authored and co-authored over sixty articles in international and local peer review journal as well as books, book chapters and technical reports for agencies, institutions and organizations. He is a purpose driven and result oriented scholar with a great zeal to enhancing teaching and learning as well as academic advancement and community service.
