About Dr. Usen Friday Mbon

Dr. (Mrs) Usen Friday Mbon was employed as an Assistant Lecturer in 2007, in the Department of Educational Administration and Planning, University of Calabar. She holds a B.Sc. (Ed) (Hons) degree in Business Education (2001), M.Ed degree (2006) and a Ph.D degree (2011), both in Educational Administration and Planning. All her degrees were obtained from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. She rose through the ranks and was promoted Senior Lecturer in 2016. Mrs Mbon has been teaching courses at all levels and contributing to the graduation of students in the University. She has served the University in different capacities such as Chairperson, Departmental Welfare Officer (2014-2016), Departmental Examinations Officer (Direct Entry and Regular Programmes) between 2011 and 2016, member, Faculty of Education Accreditation Committee (2016), member, Faculty Students Advisory Committee (2014-2016), member, Departmental Homecoming/Alumni Committee (2016-2017), member, Faculty Conferences/Seminars/Workshops Committee in 2017, member, Departmental Journal Publication Committee from 2017 till date, Secretary, Departmental Postgraduate Committee (2017 till date) amongst others. She has successfully supervised and co-supervised students projects and theses at all levels. Dr Mbon is a regular participant in many local and international conferences, workshops, seminars and symposia where she has been making presentations. Her works have been published in different conference proceedings, book chapters and per review local and international journals. She is a member of Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning, registered member with Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, member, Common Wealth Council for Educational Administration and Management. Dr. Mrs. Usen Friday Mbon is married and blessed with children.
