About Prof. Samuel Boy Chibuzo Iheanacho

Professor Samuel B. C. Iheanacho was born in 1956 in Rivers State, Nigeria. He hails from Obinze in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. His Educational qualifications include N.C.E. (1987); B.Sc. (1991) University of Nigeria, Nsukka; M.Ed and Ph.D. in 1994 and 200 respectively; University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He joined the University of Calabar in 1991 on graduation from the University of Nigeria Nsukka as a Graduate Assistant and rose through the rank and fill to the position of a Professor in Education specializing in Human Kinetics and Health Education in 2015. He belongs to many professional bodies (locally and internationally) with more than 32 academic publications in Local and International Journals to show. He has equally authors books in Human Kinetics and Health. He has taught in all levels of education (from primary – tertiary education); attended many professional courses, and also occupied a lot of key positions at one time or the other in the University system; namely Sub-Dean of Education 2010 – 2012; Exams Officer 2002 – 2015; Head of Department 2008 – 2010; Director of Sports 2011 – 2015, etc. He has equally bagged honours and awards from recognized institutions e.g. National Patron – African Sporting Initiative; Ambassador for Sports in the same organization; with its headquarters in Ghana.
