Dr Philomena Etta-Ekuri, is a trained Chemistry Educator and Physical Chemists, with a specialization in theoretical chemistry. She holds a Masters of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Physical Chemistry, with specialization in Theoretical Chemistry, from the University of Calabar; in addition to other educational qualifications, namely: NCE in Chemistry/Integrated Science, from Lagos State College of Education, Oto-Ijanikin, Lagos; B.Sc (Ed) in Chemistry/Education, and Postgraduate Diploma in Pure and Applied Chemistry, from the University of Calabar. She has published three (3) journal articles, two (2) of which are in Scopus (the world’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed research literature). She has to her credit, one (1) h-index and a total of eight (8) Google Scholar citations. Before her conversion to academic staff, she has served as a Chemistry Teacher, Uniform management, Vice Principal Administration, and Principal at the University of Calabar Demonstration International Secondary School, University of Calabar. As part of her contributions to community service, I have organized a five (5) day exhibition on soap/detergent production for graduands of the Institute of Education, University of Calabar, sponsored by the Institute in July 2000. I have also organized a three–month skill acquisition programme on soap/detergent production for school leavers sponsored by the University of Calabar Women, from October, 2000 – February, 2001.
