About Mr. Odey Akomaye Mboto

MBOTO, ODEY AKOMAYE hails from Levachel in Itigidi Local Government Area of Cross River State, He is currently an assistant lecturer who was engaged as a graduate assistant in the year 2017 in the Department of Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education. Mboto O.A holds a B.Ed in Education-Guidance & Counselling(2012), M.Ed, Master of Education in Educational Psychology (2017), and PhD Guidance & Counselling (2017-present) In-view. Mboto O.A is currently being reviewed in the 2021 promotion committee for the rank of Lecturer II. Mboto O.A has been found worthy of service to the Department of Guidance & Counselling where he served as Member, Departmental Welfare Committee, Secretary, Undergraduate Project Committee, Secretary, Departmental Quality Assurance Committee, Member, Departmental ICT Committee which was saddled with the responsibility of training academic staff of the department in online delivery of lectures using various online virtual platforms, Examination Officer, for 300 level students. Mboto O.A was privileged to have been project supervisor for some undergraduate students (UME/Sandwich) up till when the University management through the Faculty of Education Board decided n instructed that assistant lecturers should no longer be assigned students for the project supervision. Mboto O.A has attended several International Conferences and presented many papers which some have been published in academic journals of repute, Mboto O.A. has been actively teaching students in Departmental and Faculty courses at all levels in the Department of Guidance & Counselling and within the Faculty of Education. Mboto O.A is the founder of Rescuer Network Nigeria, an NGO and Educational consulting firm which goal is to offer Educational, Counselling, and Rehabilitation services to the Nigerian populace and also a contributor and consultant to the Ukandi J.U Odey Foundation, Ukandi J.U Odey public library, Obudu, Cross River State. Mboto O.A is an active member of the Counselling Association of Nigeria. He is happily married with two children.
