About Dr. Oluyemi Ayorinde Akintoye

Dr. Akintoye is a researcher and university teacher with a Ph.D. in Geography (Environmental Management) from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, MSc and BSc (Hons.) Degrees in Environmental Protection and Resource Management as well as Geography and Regional Planning, both from University of Calabar, Nigeria. He is a Consulting researcher in Environmental management, with interests in teaching Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), LandUse Dynamics, Environmental Pollution and Health, Natural Resource Development, and has worked recently on Geotechnical Studies for Wind Turbine Location for electricity generation.. Attended the Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria Ltd (SPDC) Workshop on “Best Practice in Social Impact Assessment (SIA),in 2003; taught by Professor Charles Wolf, International Association for Impact Assessment (I.A.I.A) , United States of America, and the Train–sea-coast course on Improving Wastewater Management In Coastal Cities ,Organized by Unesco-IHE-United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP)/GPA, as well as Health safety and Environment (HSC) trainings by the Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals, Nigeria.
