About Ms. Nkoyo Ani Nkang

Ms Nkang Nkoyo Ani is an assistant lecturer in the department of Science laboratory Technology of the Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Calabar. She was born in the 80’s and hails from Akwa Ibom State. She got a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree from the department of Genetics and Biotechnology in the University of Calabar (2010) and proceeded to Bells University of Technology Ota, where she obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Plant Biotechnology (2017). During the course of her M.Sc, she gained experience in molecular and plant tissue culture techniques. She also carried out tutorials with the undergraduate students because of her love for teaching, and this helped to brush up her teaching skills. She has interest in underutilized legumes of West Africa and has done some work on winged beans (Psophorcarpus tetragonolobus) and African yam beans (Sphenostylis stenocarpa).
