About Prof. Ndifreke Ekpo Udonwa

Professor of Family Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine of University of Calabar. He holds an MBBS degree of University of Lagos, a Master of Public Health of University of Calabar and Fellowships of National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in General Medical Practice (1990) and the West African College of Physicians (1993) among other diplomas and certificates. He was Head of Department (2012 to 2014) and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of the University of Calabar (2015-2017). His current research is in Primary Care /Social-Behavioural and Remote Health including Faculty Development. He has over 69 academic papers/publications in local and international journals and at keynote (Plenary) Lectures. He has successfully supervised 24 Postgraduate Fellowship Researches/Dissertations and Casebooks. He is a Reviewer for many International and Local high impact factor journals. Currently, he is an External Examiner for Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons and three Nigerian Universities. He is also an External Assessor for academic staff promotion in international and local universities. He has equally served in many facility accreditation panels for training for the West African College of Physicians and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
