About Dr. Ndem Enyogor Edu

Ndem Nyogor Edu hails from Itigidi in Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria. He joined the service of the University of Calabar in 2001 as an academic staff to the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology, from the Cross River State ministry of Education. He attended Government Primary School Itigidi, Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State where he had his First School Leaving Certificate in 1978. He had his secondary education in Community Secondary School Itigidi, Abi Local Government Area, Cross River State and obtained his West Africa School Certificate of Education (WASCE) in 1983. Thereafter, he proceeded to the Federal Government College of Arts and Science, Ogoja, Cross River State for his Higher School Certificate. He was admitted into the University of Calabar, Nigeria Were he backed the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Biology, 1992. He obtained his Masters Degree (M.Sc) from the same University of Calabar, Department of Genetics and Biotechnology, in plant breeding and plant Genetics in 2004. He enrolled and obtained his Doctorate Degree (Ph.D) from the Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Nigeria in Plant Biotechnology. Ndem Enyogor Edu is a member of many professional bodies, such as Genetics Society of Nigeria (GSN), Biotechnology society of Nigeria (BSN), Nigeria Environmental Society (NES) and Botanical Society of Nigeria (BOSON). He had authored and edited many books and has over thirty Journal publications to his credit. Dr. Ndem Enyogor Edu has held several positions both in academic and christiandom. He is an Elder/Evangelist in the Apostolic Church Nigeria. He has served as president, of the Apostolic Church Students and Youth Fellowship of Nigeria (TACSFON), University of Calabar Chapter. State President, Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) Benue State. Zonal Secretary (TACSFON) South East Zone. Former Field Officer of NIGEP and Global 2000. President (LPU) Itigidi Community, Abi L.G.A. Cross River State. He is a member of the Governing Council of the Apostolic Church Bible College and Seminary (ACBCS) Cross River State, Nigeria. He had occupy several position in the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology including the office of the Departmental time table officer from 2011 to date. Dr. Edu had received many awards both from the church and the academic. He is married with children.
