About Dr. Mercy Nkiruka Godwin Akeke

Dr Mercy Nkiruka Godwin Akeke, was employed as an academic staff into the Department of Vocational Education (Business Education Unit), University of Calabar in 2014 as Assistant Lecturer. She attended the defunct Polytechnic Calabar, Cross River State where she obtained her NCE in 2001. She was awarded a B.Sc.(Ed) in 2006, M.Sc. (Ed.) Business Education (Accounting Option) in 2016 and Ph.D in Economics of Education in 2019. She also holds a M.Ed. (Educational Administration and Planning) in 2011 from the National Open University of Nigeria. London Graduate School awarded her a M.Ed. degree in E-Learning and Digital Marketing in 2019. She is a honorary recipient of the Commonwealth University, London D. Ed. (2019) award. She has published about 13 articles in both local and international peer reviewed journals, textbook and book chapters numbering over six in teaching business related courses. Dr Mercy Akeke has participated in many conferences within and outside Nigeria where she has made presentations. Dr Akeke has supervised teaching practice and undergraduate students project supervision numbering over twenty.She belongs to some many professional bodies including Association of Business Education of Nigeria, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Association of Vocational and Technical Educators of Nigeria and National Association of Educational Admininstration and Planning of Nigeria amongst others.
