About Dr. Maurice Mbah

He joined the services of the University of Calabar as Lecturer II in 2011. He was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer in 2017. He holds AIMLT from School of Medical Laboratory Technology in 1999, M.Sc. degree in Bacteriology (2006) and PhD degree in Medical Parasitology (2010) from the University of Calabar. He has been teaching , researching in Medical Parasitology especially in the area of filariasis where he earned a scholarship by the Institute of Tropical medicine Antwerp, Belgium (2012) to present his PhD research on Filariasis. He has published several articles in both local and international peer reviewed academic journals in Medical microbiology and Parasitology. Dr Mbah has attended many conferences where he presented papers. He is a Fellow of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria. He currently co-supervising two PhD and has successfully supervised one M.Sc , eight Post-graduate diploma students and fifteen undergraduates students. His main research area is filariasis. He is married and blessed with five children.
