About Dr. Matilda Ernest Eteng

Dr (Mrs) Matilda Ernest Eteng is a hardworking and greatly inspired academic staff in the Department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of Education, University of Calabar, Calabar, Cross River State. Before joining the services of the University of Calabar in 2018 as a Lecturer II, she served the Cross River State Secondary Education Board, as a teacher between 1996 and 2018. She is a graduate of the University of Jos where she obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Sociology in 1990. Dr. Eteng holds four postgraduate degrees namely Masters in Public Administration (1997); Post Graduate Diploma in Education (2001); Masters in Sociology of Education degree (2005); and Doctor of Philosophy Sociology of Education degree (2015), all from the University of Calabar. Dr (Mrs) Eteng has been teaching, mentoring, and researching at the University of Calabar. She has been attending local and international conferences where she presents papers in her areas of specialization as well as making other useful contributions. She has successfully authored and co-authored several articles in peer-reviewed local and foreign journals. Dr. Eteng is a member of the Association for Childhood Educators of Nigeria, the Nigerian Society for Psycho-Socio Research, the Nigerian Union of Teachers, and the Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria. She is happily married with four children.
