About Dr. Martina Ayibeya Apie

Dr. Martina Ayibeya Apie obtained her Nigeria Certificate in Education in Physical and Health Education from the Federal College of Education Obudu in 1997. She obtained her B.Sc.(Ed) in Physical and Health Education from the University Of Calabar in 2001 and proceeded to obtain her M.Ed degree in sports administration (2009). She was awarded a Ph.D degree in Sport Management from the same University in 2014. Martina joined the University Of Calabar as an Assistant Lecturer in May, 2013 and was posted to the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education in Faculty of Education. She was later upgraded to the rank of Lecturer II in November, 2014 shortly after her Ph.D Programme. She has served the Department and Faculty in different capacities including Examinations Officer, Students' Academic Adviser and Keep fit coordinator amongst others. Martina has attended conferences and also presented research papers. She has published several research articles in many reputable local and International referred journals. Mrs Martina has taught many courses and contributed to the graduation of many students in the University. Martina is a member of many professional bodies including the Nigeria Association for Physical and Health Education, Recreation, Sport and Dance (NAPHER-SD). She loves Music, maintaining relationships, visiting friends and playing games.
