About Prof. Magnus Izah Anya

Prof. Magnus Anya is a seasoned and erudite scholar, innovative consultant, and astute data analyst, who is well-grounded in both theory and application of statistical software. He has, over the years, acquired unique skills and capabilities in, data acquisition, data analysis, and interpretation. Prof. Magnus is endowed with a rare entrepreneurial spirit that enables him to identify opportunities and consequently, creates great economic benefits from them. Prof. Magnus holds a B.Agric. (Hons) degree from the prestigious University of Calabar in 1996, M.Ed., and Ph.D degree in Ruminant Nutrition from the same University in 2003 and 2015 respectively. He joined the services of the University of Calabar in 1994 as Assistant Lecturer. He rose through the ranks and is now a Professor in the same Department. Since joining the University, he has been teaching, mentoring, and contributing to the graduation of students in the University at all levels. He has successfully supervised and co-supervised over 30 graduate students comprising over 10 Post students. His major research interest areas are focused on Animal Physiology and Ruminant Nutrition. Prof. Magnus has served the University in various capacities which include the Head of the Department of Animal Science. He belongs to several professional bodies amongst which are the Association of Animal Scientists of Nigeria, the Nigerian Society for Animal Science, British Society for Animal Science. He is happily married with children.
