About Mr. Joseph Egidi Igbe

Mr Joseph Egidi Igbe joined the services of the University of Calabar, Nigeria as a Data Processing Officer in 2013. His services during this period were domiciled in the Senior Establishment Division (Human Resources and Personnel Unit) of the Registry Department. He later converted his employment status as non-teaching staff to teaching staff as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Sociology (Crime and Security Studies), Faculty of Social Sciences in 2018. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Sociology and M.Sc. degree in Criminology from the reputable University of Calabar. Since joining the academic fold, he has taught undergraduate courses in the Department of Sociology, University of Calabar, an institution renowned for research and training. Joseph Egidi Igbe has attended several conferences and workshops both as non-teaching and teaching staff of the University of Calabar. He has been engaging in rigorous academic exercises through training, research, and publication. At the moment he has a good number of publications in foreign journals. He is a member of the Nigerian Anthropological & Sociological Practitioners Association.
