Asukwo Joseph Ita joined the services of The University of Calabar on 3rd July 2019 as Lecturer ll. Prior to joining the Academia; he had worked for over ten (10) years in Finance, Audit/Consultancy and Investment Management. These include: Banking, Insurance and Capital market. He held various management positions such as Auditor/Accountant, Asset Management Consultant, Finance Consultant and the last but not the least; Financial Accountant(Managerial Cadre) in The Nigerian Stock Exchange. While with the Exchange, he attended series of local and overseas training. Mr Ita holds a Master Degree in Banking and Finance from Lagos State University, PGD (Management) from the University of Calabar and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Enugu, Enugu State. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigerian(FCA), a Certified Forensic Professional (CFAN), and an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (ACSI) –UK Mr Ita has been a regular Committee Member of the Governing Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) for five (5) Consecutive years. He has published in both local and International Journals.
