About Dr. Etim Omini ETENG

Etim Omini Eteng was born on the 16 November, 1970 .in Lagos, Nigeria to the family of Mr Abum Eteng and Madam Alice Oquo Eteng of Aneja, Ijom Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State. Early primary education commenced at the National Primary School, Abule Ijesha in the Yaba Area of Lagos State. Sceondary Education was at the very famous Community Seconday School, Ugep. In 1988, gained admission to study Geogarphy and Environmental Science at the University of Calabar, graduated Second Class Upper in 1992. He was posted to Bauchi State and primary assignment was at the Bauchi State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport for the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) as Pupil Town Planning Officer and was part of the Urban Renewal programme conceptualized and implemented for Gombe and Bauchi capital city.In 2000, he completed a Masters of Science Degree in Geography and Planning specializing in Transportation Planning, the University of Lagos, Akoka. Further training, education and certification culminatd in an Executive Masters of Business Administration from the Imo State University in 2004, Member, International Water Resources Association 2021, Full Member, International Society for Development and Sustainability 2021. As preparatory for the Academic world was enrolled and obtained a PhD in Geography and Environmental Science specializing in Population and Environment from the University of Calabar, Calabar in 2016. In October 2017 was engaged as a Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Environmental Science and responsilities and target accomplishments range from:  Panelist at the International Water Resources Association Online Conference on ‘’ ONE WATER,ONE HEALTH- WATER,FOOD AND PUBLIC HEALTH IN A CHANGING WORLD’’ Repatiore and Chairman Communique Section, at the Project Document Workshop on the GEF-7 intervention on Food System, Land Use and Restoration Impact Programme ( FOLUR-IP) Titled: Promoting Integrated, Landscape Management and Sustainable Food Systems in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria Key Participant at the Workshop and Foundation Programme of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, University of Calabar and Chairman Linkages and Collaboration Committee. Representive of the Faculty of Environmental Science on the Governing Board of the Faculty of Management Science, University of Calabar, Calabar Time-table and Examination Cordination for Undergraduate Students, Department of Geography and Environmental Science, University of Calabar, Calabar
