About Mrs. Eugenie Grace Essoh Ndobo

Mrs Eugenie Grace Essoh was employed as Assistant Lecturer into the Department of Modern Languages and Translation Studies, University of Calabar in 2013. She was promoted to the rank of Lecturer II in 2016. Ms Eugenie Essoh holds M.Sc. degree in Spanish Linguistic and Language Theory obtained from the prestigious University of Yaounde I (Cameroon). She was awarded a bachelor’s degree in French Trilingual Letters (Spanish, French and English) by B.Sc. degree in University of Dschang, Cameroon in 2008. Presently, she is a PhD scholar at the University of Dschang. Her doctoral thesis is in Spanish linguistics and Hispanic Studies. It is titled “Image of Foreigners in the Equatoguinean Social Discourse”. Since joining the University, she has been teaching, researching, mentoring students and contributing to the graduation of students in the University. Eugenie Grace Essoh is a seasoned scholar with several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in discourse analysis, foreign language didactic, anthropological linguistics, political communication, pragmatics, Asian studies, cultural studies and spirituality. She has reviewed for many international journal publishers. Grace Essoh has attended many local and international conferences where she made presentations in her field of study. She is a member the Social Discourse Analysis Group. Mrs Eugenie Grace Essoh is married with children.
